Dad's first week at work
This was Jordan's first week of work. Skyler was very sad that he had to go to work and on Monday morning said he wanted to go to work too. Then on Tuesday morning, he wanted me to go to work. On Tuesday we bought a gift for his friend Jane's birthday. That afternoon he was carrying it around saying, "send present in the mail, Jane live far away". Earlier, I was regretting telling him why we bought it, because he got upset because he wanted to go see Jane. But eventually he understood and it was really sweet watching him carry it around. We've been working on potty training this week. He's doing okay, he's very hit or miss though. Right as I was putting him in bed tonight, he said, "I go potty". So I took him in, his diaper was dry (we'll keep him in diapers at night for awhile) and he went. All this after a day of wetting his pants at first, but then finishing in the toilet. Well, minus the hour and half we were out doing errands, he's way into checking out public restrooms, so he does well when were out of the house. Skyler is way into playing pretend lately. He likes telling me to "do ribbet" and we'll hop around the floor pretending to be frogs. He also sits in boxes and says he's in a boat. Tonight he picked up a duplo briefcase and said he was going to work. We were both sick this week, so we didn't get out to do much. We went grocery shopping and to the park that's close by and to the library also.
