We are currently very into Superman at this house (If you knew me in high school or college, you understand that I have no problem with this whatsoever). Jonah and Oliver like to dress like Superman at bedtime.
For whatever reason, Jonah thinks that this involves a full set of pajamas under the 'underwear over the pants' attire (and Oliver just goes along with what Jonah says). Perhaps he thinks that Clark Kent puts his street clothes on under his Superman suit for safekeeping?
I know I have a 3T or 4T pair of Superman pj's lying around somewhere. I think it's time to dig them out.

They Must Really Like Parades
Who doesn't love a parade?
These guys definitely do.
And these guys too.
Look at that happy green frog, he knows that this parade involves candy!
Skyler rode the dinosaur, which had a small wagon-like thing attached to it. On that was a bowl of candy for Oliver to throw to the eager crowd. Jonah pulled a crocodile that also had candy in it for him to throw.

They Like to Swim
We just wrapped up four weeks of swimming lessons - the kids are so sad that it's done. They had a lot of fun and learned a lot.
Skyler is now an independent swimmer, he just needs to work on strokes. At the beginning of the four weeks, he was still having a hard time wanting to put his face in the water, but that doesn't phase him anymore. In fact, his new favorite pool activity is diving for dive sticks at the bottom of the pool.
Jonah has gained a lot of confidence, he's now no longer worried that he will sink, yet he still holds on to that wall like he's glued to it. He can now swim short distances on his own and he also has no problem with going under.
Oliver thinks he's an independent swimmer. He just did two weeks of lessons, and he did so well, I perhaps should have put him in all four! At first, he would sit on the edge of the pool waiting for his turn, but for the last two days, he wanted to get in the water to wait like all the other kids! He would tell me "Mom, look!" and then proceed to 'dunk' his head underwater. He only would go all the way under a few times, but I think he thought he went under everytime! On the very last day, he would let go of the wall to swim to his teacher when it was his turn. He never made it very far. His fearlessness is both wonderful and very, very scary!

L is for Line Graph
Last year, I felt so on top of thing when I was doing my week in the life project. Each night, I was able to upload the pictures and write some words to go along with them - this year not so much!
Why?

I've been busy working on curriculum for the online tutoring company I work for. My unit is line graphs, so I thought, what better subject for a line graph could there possibly be than how many pictures I took throughout the week?

My week of picture taking is now forever immortalized as part of mastery test #6.

Week in the Life - Saturday
Today's photo pickings were pretty slim. Not only did I take not too many, but most of them were portrait, which don't easily go into the photo mosaics, so I don't use them. But still, these pictures show our day pretty well.
