We Celebrated Valentine's Day

The Valentine's Day treasure hunt seems to be a new tradition in our house.

Each clue had a boy's name on it and only that kid could hunt for that particular clue.

OIiver's were super easy and told him exactly where to go.

Jonah's were a little bit more tricky

And Skyler's were so tricky that it took him awhile to find each of his

And they all helped to figure out the last clue.

Why yes, Oliver did get new PJ's. He thinks pajamas are the best thing ever.

This year Jonah was so excited to take Valentines to his preschool friends. The example I showed him included two dum-dum pops, so of course his needed two dum-dums. He asked me if it was okay if they weren't that same kind. I told him he could pick whatever flavors he wanted for each bag. When one of those friends came over, he hid them so the friend wouldn't get a sneak peek. He told me the night before that he was going to get up, get dressed, get his shoes on (a big deal, since that's usually the last thing to happen), get his Valentines out and then shout hooray that it was Valentine's Day. Did he? If he did shout, I didn't hear him.

Skyler wanted to make Valentines with hearts on them, so he created them on the computer with a bit of help. Then he attached some jokes. On Valentine's night, he was sweet enough to give Oliver his skittles (the ones that Skyler was SO excited about when he found them in his bag) when Oliver got upset because Jonah had a Valentine for me and not one for him. I was so proud of Skyler.

This is such a fun idea -- especially making the clues a different difficulty level for each boy. I'm pretty sure you're Supermom.
