There must be something new

I feel like I need to post something, just not sure what, though. Skyler enjoyed Valentine's Day. He loved saying "Happy Valentine's Day" to everyone and he liked making Valentines. Daddy got the day off because of snow and a nice boss, so we all made cookies, and Skyler is a particularly good sprinkler of cookies (he's not so bad at eating them either). Skyler is way into Blue's Clues right now. For those of you not in the "know", Blue and Steve/Joe (depends if you're watching an old or new episode) will "skidoo" into books or pictures. We do lots of skidooing in our house. But we must skidoo over something. The changeover from carpet to tile is sufficient, but Skyler prefers to make a line out of shoes or toys or whatever is handy for us to skidoo over. We'll sing the little ditty (Blue skidooed we can too) make the skidooing noise, (which sounds like a whoooo) roll our hands around and jump over the designated line. Fun times. Skyler also has his own handy dandy notebook and is also constantly on the look out for clues. Jordan's high school mascot was the Bulldog, and there are many of his cross country and track shirts on the T-shirt quilt on our bed (the ABC blanket, if you will) and well, they have paw prints on them. Lots of clues to be found on our bed. And as luck would have it, Jordan still has one of his high school shirts that he wears from time to time. A blue shirt with a big paw print on it - daddy's Blue's Clues shirt.
Skyler loves to play out back in the dirt, but still won't go near the snow. Claims it's slippery, well it can be, but how does he know? Did he have some horrible falling in the snow incident that scarred him and traumatized me and Jordan so much that we can't remember it? Skyler also enjoys watching Charlotte's Web, which he calls the "McDonald Show" and I think he used to call it the doggy show because apparently didn't realize Wilbur was a pig. But at least he's quit calling Templeton "Jumpy Squirrel". He's mellowed in the sense that he doesn't need me around him all time. Or maybe not. He's into throwing tantrums now, so if he gets mad at me for whatever reason he'll just stay where he is and freak out as opposed to following me around and hanging and tugging at me. Whatever, it gives me a chance to throw some laundry in or go to the bathroom alone. He's in a twin bed now, which is going well. He doesn't (yet) get out of bed at bedtime. At naptime he does, but he stays in his room and plays and it's not like he was sleeping when he was still in his crib.
Looks like I found some things to type.:)
